CHATEAU DES BARRES, and VINITOUR present Sancerre & Chablis Wine Touring

Would you like to truly feel the Art of living in an Eighteenth Century Castle ? Does the idea of cruising through beautiful landscapes, with a mosaic of terre, while learning the secrets of wine-making in internationally renowned Burgundian and Centre Loire vineyards, sound appealing to you ? Are you happy to discover the finest Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir with an exceptional guide ? OUI ? Then WE invite you to take part in a magnificent tour that begins at the beautiful Chateau des Barres, our family-owned estate. Chateau des Barres is located half-way between Sancerre in the Centre Loire, and Chablis in Burgundy.

The experience begins at 17h00 (5 pm) when you arrive to Chateau des Barres. Upon your arrival, you will be shown to your bedroom suite, and offered Tea, Coffee and Pastries. Enjoy the Versailles inspired garden, designed by Achille Duchene. Weather permitting, you may want to play tennis, or enjoy the pool. The Chapel, with trompe l’oeil painting is exceptionally beautiful.

In the evening, you will enjoy a cold buffet.

In the morning, after a Continental breakfast, we depart for vineyards, driving South-West to the Centre-Loire; Pouilly sur Loire & Sancerre. Luncheon at one of Sancerre’s fine restaurants (Dutch Treat). In the afternoon a visit to winery and goat farm for more tasting of Wine, and Goat Cheese.

We return to Chateau des Barres late afternoon. The perfect time to visit this Castle’s Old Cellar.

Dinner will be served in the Family Dining Room.

Your 2nd day begins with Continental breakfast. We will then drive North-East to Auxerre, Coulanges la Vineuse, Irancy & Chablis. More incredible vineyards, many breathing in the Cherry Trees that live amongst the vines. Luncheon in Chablis (Dutch Treat). The afternoon continues with more exploring.

When we return to Chateau des Barres, after another glorious day - rich in Knowledge, History and Flavour - you will be served Coffee and Tea before you depart.

-2 nights in a Bedroom Suite in the glorious 18th Century Chateau des Barres

-2 Continental Breakfasts.

-Cold Buffet Meal first evening, Dinner in Family Dining Room second evening.

-2 days of Vinitour guided Wine Touring, Tastings, and Walks through Historic and Medieval Wine Towns. Transported in a comfortable mini bus for 9 persons.

-Chavignol Goat Cheese Tasting.

-Lunch in fine dining establishments in Sancerre & Chablis (cost of lunch not included in package price)
